Austin, TX indie-folk songwriter Joe Pug splits the difference between tradition and irreverence with his soulful, literary acoustic-leaning songs. His third LP is due out in early 2015 on Lightning Rod records, but there hasn't been much time for rest as the past few years has seen him play over 400 shows. He has certainly gathered his fair share of the requisite Dylan comparisons but newer material has showed the impact of more contemporary influences like Josh Ritter, Ryan Adams and M. Ward.
