Lowland Hum and Diane Cluck

with Nettles

Lowland Hum released their self-titled sophomore album in April of 2015, leading to an onslaught of positive attention from everyone from iTunes and Spotify to NPR Music, who debuted it on their First Listen stream; NPR cited the indie-folk duo’s album as "Benefiting from a freewheeling, beefed-up studio band, the dynamic range of this 13-song set runs from hushed insularity to ardent expansiveness, alighting on dozens of gradations between.”

Popmatters, a publication known for its criticism and analysis of modern media, writes that Lowland Hum is "further evidence of their ability to wield seamless harmonies and a hushed low cast glow." The same source later featured the first premiere of “Olivia”, upon the duo’s release of the lyric video.

Furthering their ever-growing popularity, the band was recently featured on NPR’s World Cafe and Daytrotter, while their single "Odell" first debuted on Earmilk. In addition, the official music video first appeared on Nerdist, who described it as, "…the perfect visual metaphor for Lowland Hum’s atmospheric brand of emotionally intelligent folk."

The second leg of their album release tour started on August 20th in Virginia and continued across the country, heading to the West coast before turning back East. Fellow North Carolina natives,The Collection, joined Lowland Hum on the road for August and September.  In September, the band signed with San Diego based indie label, Randm Records.  They finished out 2015 with shows up and down the east coast and are continuing touring and writing in the first half of 2016.
