SHHO Hip Hop Showcase

Can I Kick It?

The Student Hip-Hop Organization at UVA (SHHO) presents Can I Kick It?: A Local Hip-Hop Showcase. SHHO exists to promote hip-hop music and culture at UVA and in Charlottesville through various means: concerts, DJ fundraisers, movies screenings, speakers, kickbacks, etc. Can I Kick It? aims to promote local talent around the area by showcasing amazing artists that are in our own backyard.

Keese is a Charlottesville rapper who tells stories of personal struggle and motivation through strong lyricism and hard-hitting beats. The only way to describe his music is human, which spreads positivity and understanding between listeners. He recently released his EP, False Hope.

Danny L’z is a young and talented rapper who has a laid-back personality and flow which is sure to get heads bobbing. Paired with his graphic imagery and lyricism, L'z captivates audiences with his imaginative stories that describe his life in the Ville.

Sondai, formerly known as Junior, is one of the most exciting rappers in the Charlottesville scene. His fans know that his music is unpredictable and constantly changes in style, flow, and content. Highly energetic and clever with his wordplay, Sondai will surely bring the heat.

J-Willz, or Willz for short is buzzing in the Charlottesville scene, and with the release of his latest project, Raw Gold, he is aiming to take it to the next level. Willz is set to take his unique style of Urban Rap & R&B out of the indie industry into the realm of crossover success.
