We Are Star Children & Theocles - Co-bill

We Are Star Children is a 10-piece "adventure pop" band from Charlottesville, VA. They veer in and out of conventional rock/pop arrangement: horn and synth cascade over a surging rhythm section, brazen enough to share lead with the advancing wall of rich harmony vocals. In their recordings and live shows alike, they continually dance with beauty and mayhem, occasionally spinning into a contemplative waltz or tip-toeing down an eerie alley, but ultimately whipping the crowd into a full froth. They frequent debaucherous fundraisers, host homegrown shows in beach clubs, and bring down the house whenever they appear on Central Virginia’s biggest stages.

Soul, folk, and pop blend together seamlessly to create the catchy grooves of Theocles & the Muses. Driven by the ear-worm melodies and powerful vocals of Richmond songwriter Theocles, the Muses deliver high energy original jams that will both get you on the dance floor and speak to your soul. Belted harmonies, bluesy guitar solos, and high-flying fiddle riffs are just some of the joyous sounds you can expect to hear, as several of Virginia's finest musicians band together to bring Theocles' fabulously catchy tunes to life.

Coming off the back of a highly successful 2025 with the releases of his songs "Fiddle Baby" and "MAIN ATTRACTION!!", Theocles has already put out two new songs in 2026: a protest diss track titled "Toy Soldiers" and a smooth pop banger "Permission", both featuring talented artists from Theocles' beloved local community. The latter half of 2026 also promises a new intimate folk EP titled "Grow". Don’t be surprised when some of these tunes get stuck in your head!
