Ark of Mark - Record Release Show

Ark Of Mark is the latest project of Charlottesville native Mark Coffman, former frontman of the rock band From Here On Blue. In February of 2021 Mark stepped into his home venue the Jefferson Theater to record his first full-length record. Working with longtime friend, colleague and producer BJ Pendleton who converted the space into a functioning recording studio, Still Defined By You was born. A concept record that goes through a wide range of emotions from love to loss, separation to unity, Coffman paints a poignant lyrical duality of the human motive. With help from his friends and fellow musicians the album bends genres due to the inclusion of the different personalities of the players. From alternative rock to folk and jazz fusion Mark has created a sound he dubs as 4th Stream, by combining classical through composure with improvised instrumental intermezzos over his song narratives. Mark will be joined on stage by Eric Hendrickson of Julius Hangman and Kevin Johnson from Richmond based Jouwala Collective.
