Jacob Paul Allen

with Rebecca Porter

"Appalachian Red Dirt,"  That's how Jacob Paul Allen describes his style of Country Music. It leans more on the Traditional side, influenced by the sounds of 90's Country mixed with some Texas/Red-Dirt/Americana music. It flirts with the Outlaw Country sound and dances around Bluegrass at times. Throw in some John Prine and Tom Petty influence and you'll start to get a taste of Jacob's music. It's a style and sound that he has crafted on stages large and small from coast to coast for the past 15 years. From the neon lights of Lower Broadway in Music City to the famed Whisky-A-Go-Go on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. He has opened for acts such as Town Mountain, Thompson Square, Dylan Scott, Sonia Leigh and Niko Moon

After spending a couple of years in Nashville, TN Jacob returned home to his Blue Ridge Mountain roots in Nelson County, Virginia and has put together a rocking Country band that has quickly gained attention from fans and venues in the Central Virginia music Scene. They have performed on WDVX's Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN as well as Charlottesville's Ting Pavilion for the highly attended Fridays After Five event. Whether he is playing a solo show or getting rowdy with his band, Jacob captures the audience with his infectious stage presence and reels them into the stories that he tells in his songs and his stage banter. Jacob released his debut EP  "Southern Love" in January of 2023 and has recently released his highly anticipated hometown anthem "Tyro" which has quickly become a crowd favorite.

Rebecca Porter balances her distinctive storytelling with the dynamics of her commanding voice in a unique display of soulful classic country.

A singer-songwriter born in Guam and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Rebecca Porter continues to forge her way in country music with songs that are heartfelt and honest.

A lifelong innate connection to music guided Porter into performing live as a young adult. Through  a decade’s worth of live performance with Harrisonburg-Rockingham County area musicians, Porter learned the ropes of life as a performing and recording artist. When her work in cover bands came to a pause after the birth of her first child, Porter found herself stumbling through parenting an infant during a global pandemic. The pandemic and motherhood left Porter yearning for the return to connection and music.

In spring 2020, Porter sat down and committed to playing guitar and writing independently. The songs and stories she wrote helped her process a rocky childhood and young adult life checkered with domestic violence, generational trauma, discrimination that coincided with her life as a Pacific Islander woman growing up in rural Virginia, as well as more current struggles with postpartum loneliness and recurring depression. As the songs continued to be made, Porter wondered if her story songs would resonate with others.

Porter created her debut extended play (EP) - Prime Rainbow Conditions - at River Wash Recording in Richmond, Virginia. The early 2022 release fortified Porter as a force to be reckoned with.

Most recently, Porter completed a crowdfunding campaign and raised the funds needed to support the recording of her next project. The new five song, full band EP will be released later this year and showcase five of Porter’s original songs.
