Khaliko / Elie Bashkow Trio - Co-bill

With nods to hard rock, jazz fusion and melodic pop; KHALIKO’s music blends frequencies and styles into their distinctive improv jam performances.

Hailing from Atlanta, GA, the band was founded during the pandemic, playing at an outdoor park. The band’s impromptu jams quickly became nights of music celebration, dancing, and togetherness for more than just the surrounding neighbors. After the park jams outgrew the neighborhood stages, KHALIKO sold out Smiths Olde Bar. It was the venue’s first show back after the Covid lull, and the beginning of the band’s first residency. It’s been nonstop ever since.

After releasing their debut album Movement in September 2022, KHALIKO has stayed on the move, traveling regionally and around the nation; most recently opening up for Rome & Duddy at Buckhead Theatre. KHALIKO features Sam Epstein on vocals/guitar, Ethan Parks on drums, Elijah Haller on Bass, and Aidan Babuka Black on vocals/keys.

Led on guitar by producer, artist, and songwriter Elie Bashkow, the Elie Bashkow Trio blends alternative-folk, indie-rock, modern jazz, and jam band music to create a unique and engaging musical experience. 
Featuring Ellis Nolan on bass and Zach Bowen on drums each of the members’ musical personalities shines through as the three friends share solos and laughs on stage. Elie’s melodic and compellingly human songwriting is complemented by far reaching improvisational jams and deep grooves. When Bashkow, Nolan, and Bowen play together,  the music feels natural, exciting, and special in a way that is palpable to the band as well as the audience.

The trio will be joined for part of the set by their longtime collaborator and friend, the rapper mr. after. With after on stage, the group seamlessly blends hip-hop into the band’s sound in a way that is both strikingly new and deeply coherent.
