Lora Kelley’s sophomore self-titled EP is an exploration of her female experience. Her music touches on the poignancy of grief and the mystery of memory in “Both Hands” a song about the loss of her family’s matriarch. In more playful riffs, “Good Men Don’t Hurt You” nods its head at hook-up culture and the “shit” people put up with for the sake of love. With gentle story-telling lyrics and lilting melodies, this EP is a nostalgic and enjoyable experience for the listener.
